"Renewable" is such a clever buzz given by the corporate media spinsters. How about "Responsible" instead?

Wind. Solar.

I think of solar. I live in a sunny location with little wind. I also get some of my power from hydorelectric, but I think we have tapped most of those resources already. I also live not far from a geothermal plant that was previously shut down and has recently been reopened and is generating electriciy again.

Wind is the first thing that came to my mind when I read this. Although, solar power is probably a close second. Oh, and I really like the concept of capturing gasses from already existing landfills, although I don't know how practical it turns out to be.

I don't really think of hydroelectric as renewable because of the environmental damage dams cause - but I guess it is renewable, just not very 'green'.

I think of wind power, I would love a small wind turbine at my place.

Hydroelectric comes to my mind as it is Canada's main renewable energy. We have been using it since the first world war in large quantities.
We have a finite ability to increase this source of energy, so it may not be the hot button of the day. But because it provides well for base load, is always there, we depend on it in ways that no other renewable energy has yet been able to match.
